Open Day

We are partnering with Sustainable Gardening Australia (SGA) to open our garden to the public on 9-Oct from 9am onwards.

We will showcase our organic sustainable gardening practices in 4-session tours. Each tour will take the visitors around the garden to show our sustainable features. These features includes, but not limited to, companion planting, composting, mulching, raised bed, seed saving, organic pest control, green manure crops etc.

Each session consists of a 30-minute garden tour and a 30-minute workshop. SGA will promote the open garden event on 3AW, The Age, SGA’s website and their monthly e-newsletter, plus direct email to the target audience. We are expecting about 80-100 people.

We will also have a stall to sell our produce. This Open Day will be the major fund raising event for the Garden this year.

The main portion of the fund will be used to build a green house in the northern end of the garden.
